I first received a verison of this email on September 4th - SCAM: American Income and I was sure it was a scam. But now I'm think it may be legit. In the new email below it states that American Income is part of the Torchmark Corporation (TMK), a top Forbes 400 company. So I went to Forbes.com enter TMK in their search box and got a result [click here]. From there I used the Forbes.com link to get to the companies site... and listed on this page is American Income. [click here].
I'm still not going to apply since I'm not interested in selling insurance.

That is exactly the email I got here in Jacksonville, FL. Then, a lady called from American Income saying they were NOT an insurance company and they worked for the Benefits Dept. of a union. I asked "which union?" and she didn't know. She said she had only been working there for two months and didn't know who she was working for.....LOL! SERIOUSLY!!
I just got a similar e-mail (posted below) and this is totally scummy. The return e-mail bounces on this, an the domain TMKRMS.COM has no home page, just pages linked in the e-mail work. TMKRMS.COM is supposedly owned by Torchmark who in turn own's AIL - but I have a strong suspicion it is just a fraudulently bought domain posing as Torchmark.
